At Te-Kworo Foundation's three boarding schools in northern Uganda, nearly 1,000 students and around 100 staff sit down to eat every day of the school year. That is over 1,050 people fed across 38 teaching weeks — at a total food cost of around $150,000 a year, or roughly $4 per person, per week.

For many of our students, these are the most reliable meals they have. They come from communities where food scarcity is a daily reality. A full stomach is not a given. At Te-Kworo, it is.

Feeding the school is as much a part of education as what happens in the classroom. A girl who is hungry cannot concentrate. A girl who eats well, consistently, has the foundation she needs to show up and learn.

What Your Gift Does

Every dollar you give goes directly to the food program that keeps our students nourished throughout the school year — ingredients, meals, on-campus cooks, and the kitchen operations that make daily meals possible across three campuses.
